E-Book Terribly strange tales I was given this book for Christmas in 1968; my aunt and uncle gave it to me, both of them now gone. I devoured the stories in this book, and looking back I realize that the consumption of this book marked the moment of my never-ending interest in strange tales. This is a wonderful collection with authors such as Oscar Wilde (The Canterville Ghost), Saki (The Open Window, and, Laura), Honore de Balzac (La Grande Breteche), , Stephen Vincent Benet (The King of the Cats) and Helen R. Hull (The Clay Shuttered Room - still, in my opinion, one of the most outstanding stories of the strange/weird genre). I treasure this book and keep it on my bookshelf, and still dip into it from time to time. For me, a classic.. Terribly strange tales are Book None.
